At last count I was pregnant teacher number 13 on the campus where I teach. You read correctly. I'm not exaggerating. Number 13. A couple of the aforementioned mommies have journaled their pregnancies and "mommy-hood" experiences on their blogs including anecdotes and photos of their new arrivals. I've enjoyed reading their blogs and peering at pictures of precious newborns so I thought I would give it a try too. My nearest immediate family member is 30 minutes away and the farthest is a 13 hour plane ride across the Atlantic so I thought a blog would be an excellent way for family and friends to keep up with the goings on of my life and, of course, see updated pictures of Isabella once she is born. Plus, Manuel has lots and lots of family all over and as far away as Honderas. I promise pictures and information of the rest of the family too. Manuel, Jeremy, and Andres cannot be left out ;-) Oh, and Princessa, of course. So here's the skinny:
- Manuel is in NOLA visiting his best friend's mother who is very ill.
- The boys are keeping us busy with practices nearly every night of the week. Jeremy has boxing and Andres has football. This evening Jeremy sparred for the first time in his 2 week boxing career. I promise pictures soon. Andres is baring battle scars from tackling at practice. He looks so cute in his pads, helmet, and athletic glasses.
- I am 26 weeks pregnant. Isabella has been very active this week. Manuel and I attended a breastfeeding class last night which was very informative. I didn't breastfeed Jeremy but I am going to give it a go with Isabella. 13 and 1/2 weeks to go!
- Princessa is sick. I'm taking her to the vet in the moring.
I'll try to update the blog once per week but I'm a very busy girl. I go back to work in a couple of weeks and I begin another semester of graduate school the week after that. Here are some upcoming events I plan to post pictures of:
- Manuel's birthday is August 13th
- Andres' birthday is September 11th
- My baby shower is September 19th
